Dane Cook is serious when it comes to love.
The comedian, 51, recently disclosed that he wed fiancée Kelsi Taylor, 24, on September 23 at an exclusive home in O’ahu, Hawaii.
“Last night I married the girl of my dreams here in Hawaii,” Dane revealed the day following the nuptials on X. Knowing you have the strongest person you can imagine at your side and showing them all of your love in return is the best feeling in the world.
The Employee of the Month actor, who started seeing the personal trainer over six years ago, provided more details about his brand-new life as a married man.
“The years of laughs, adventures and accomplishments we’ve shared were solidified in front of some of our dearest friends and family during an emotional ceremony,” he continued his post. “I can’t wait to share more but for now just know this..I’ve never felt this way. It’s so wonderful.”
The Hawaii was chosen because it holds a special place in their hearts, according to the Good Luck Chuck actor.
“It was one of the first trips we ever went on together and we continue to go back often,” Dane told People in an interview published Sept. 25. “It’s such an oasis, and we couldn’t be more excited to have spent our wedding week surrounded by the beauty of Oahu.”
Additionally, the couple wanted a small, personal guest list for their wedding, so they invited 20 close friends and family.
There is, in the words of Dane, “nothing better than spending this special time with all of our favorite people.”
The comedian proposed to the pair in July of last year at York Beach in Maine, and now the couple has wed.
“I’m about to spend the rest of my life with my favorite person and my best friend—what is there to not look forward to?” Kelsi told People in August 2022, a month after she and Dane got engaged. “Family has always been such an important part of my life and the idea of expanding it and starting our own family together with the man of my dreams just fills my heart.”
Even though the two lovers anticipate living happily ever after, they have nevertheless had to deal with detractors.
Dane confronted Kelsi about their age differences last October. At the time, he exclusively told E! News, “If we can’t laugh at it, then nobody else is allowed.”
He even admitted that Kelsi had asked him to add information about their romance in his special Dane Cook: Above It All.
He said, “She witnessed everything I was working on for the show. She then said, “Keep that in. I believe that section will be fantastic. Even some amusement at our expense exists.
On his then-fiancée, he had already begun to practice his married jokes.
